EASA flight operations platform

The compliance system of record for regulated UAV operations.

A UAV operation is not just flights. It is a regulated business process, from first customer contact through SORA-compliant risk assessment and checklist-gated execution to signed deliverables and invoicing.

KestrelWorks captures every step offline, on hardware you own, under a licence you keep.

KestrelWorks operational dashboard
Operational dashboard, Windows workstation
80+structured tables in one unified operational data model
20+generated report types, each with a required-signature slot
7operational roles enforced at UI, session and database layer
0bars of signal required to fly a full mission in the field

Why operators move

Built for the part of the job that is not flying.

01 — Ownership

Own it forever

A perpetual local licence, not a subscription. Stop paying and the software keeps running, with your data on your server.

02 — Regulation

A real SORA engine

OPEN screening, STS/PDRA matching, computed Ground and Air Risk Class, SAIL determination and the full OSO checklist.

03 — Continuity

One unbroken thread

Enquiry, quote, contract, work order, risk assessment, flight log, signed deliverable and billing proposal in one record chain.

The operational thread

From first contact to signed deliverable.

Stage 01

Sell

CRM pipeline, customers, sites, quotes and contracts.

Stage 02

Assess

SORA, dynamic risk, airspace and weather checks.

Stage 03

Dispatch

Crew, aircraft and equipment booked against one calendar.

Stage 04

Fly

Digital checklist, declarations, Go/No-Go and offline logs.

Stage 05

Close

Review, signed report package and billing proposal.

Platform

The whole operation, in the order it happens.

Nine linked processes, from the first customer conversation to the signed report and billing proposal. They all write to the same data model, so a flight log updates airframe hours, a defect grounds an aircraft, and a grounding blocks a dispatch.

01

CRM, sites and sales pipeline

Durable customer records, GPS sites, hazard notes and versioned commercial documents.

02

Operations and mission management

Role-specific work orders, booking calendar and a phase-by-phase digital checklist.

03

Safety and governance

Incidents, investigations, corrective actions, controlled documents and audit history.

04

Fleet, crew and reporting

Airworthiness gates, training records, signed deliverables and report packages.

Compliance & SORA

Written to survive an authority audit.

The EASA Specific Operations Risk Assessment implemented as a working calculator, wired into the mission it belongs to and stored as a permanent record.

Step 01

OPEN eligibility

Screen the operation before assuming it is Specific.

Step 02

STS / PDRA match

Match the mission to a standard scenario where one exists.

Step 03

GRC & ARC

Compute Ground and Air Risk Class from the operational volume.

Step 04

SAIL & OSOs

Determine SAIL and generate the safety objective checklist.

Gates, not reminders

A grounded aircraft cannot be dispatched. A mission cannot be complete until required signatures are in place. Every create, update and delete is captured in a searchable audit trail.

Offline field operations

No signal is the normal case.

The tablet runs a full local database and never waits on a network, not to open a checklist, sign a declaration or close a mission.

A one-time QR exchange binds a tablet to its pilot's workstation. When they share a local network, reference data and assigned missions flow down while logs, risk assessments, declarations and debriefs flow back up.

Security & deployment

Your stack. Your database. Your building, if you want.

Each operator gets an isolated, dedicated environment. Never a shared multi-tenant database, and never one KestrelWorks can read.

Single PC

Database on that PC

The simple shape for a solo operator or single office machine.

Local network

Database in your network

Several roles work on the same records without anything leaving the building.

Cloud

Isolated hosted database

Managed backups and access from more than one location, still dedicated to you.

About KestrelWorks

Software built the way aviation is regulated.

We build one product for one kind of customer: the EASA-regulated commercial UAS operator who has outgrown spreadsheets and does not want a subscription in exchange.

One product

Everything we build lands in the operations platform.

No lock-in

Your data sits in your own PostgreSQL database, on hardware you control.

Built in-house

Including the operational map, with no dependency on a third-party tactical viewer.

Design-partner programme

Help shape the first release.

Run real missions on the platform while we work directly with your operations and safety leads.

  • Free for the duration of the beta
  • Locked-in launch discount on the perpetual licence
  • Benelux, the Nordics and Germany first
